COVID-19 update

Good to go EnglandPlease see below what we are doing here at Luccombe Farm Holidays during these concerning times and to make your holiday as safe as possible.

We hope the following covers any concerns you may have prior to making a booking or coming to stay with us. If you have any questions, however small, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us, either by phone or email.

COVID-19 assurance: If travel is restricted (locally or nationally) or if we are unable to welcome you to Luccombe Farm then we will continue, as we have been doing, to refund all our guests in full.

If you or a member of your party becomes ill then we will be happy to move your booking to a later date (the price may change depending on the new dates chosen).

Cleaning:  We are ensuring that the cottage that you have booked will be cleaned and sanitised to the Covid Ready Guidelines from PASC UK, the AA and Visit England. We have produced a Risk Assessment that covers all aspects of our business. This can be seen upon request.

AA Covid-19 Confident Certificate

We have always taken pride in the level of cleanliness at Luccombe Farm Holidays and have always paid special attention to disinfecting any surfaces where germs habitually like to live. We are now doing a “double clean” of all our cottages i.e. doing our normal clean and following up with a suitable disinfectant for a second time. We are paying special attention to high contact areas such as door handles, light switches, banisters, remote controls, tabletops and keys. Sadly, we are unable to present the cottages as we normally would as many of the ornaments have been removed for the time being.

Indoor heated pool: We have re-opened our pool on the following basis. One family/visit (unless you are travelling with another family, in which case you are permitted to use the pool at the same time together). If the swimming pool is empty, please enter using your electronic key fob where you will find a large black board. Using the chalk provided in your cottage, please write the name of your cottage and the entry and exit time and place this outside the swimming pool external door so other guests can see when the pool is in use and when it will become free again. If another cottage wishes to use it afterwards, then, using their own chalk, they can write the name of their cottage at the bottom of the board, so others know who will be using it next.

In the entrance you will also find antibacterial spray and paper towels. The pool PH and Chlorine levels will be maintained as normal and the pool will be checked and cleaned daily. There will be a sanitiser station by the door; please use this before entering the building.

The Sauna, Gym, Ping Pong and Games room have re-opened on the basis that usage is at our guests’ own risk as we are unable to clean these facilities frequently throughout the day. In each building you will find sanitiser, antibacterial spray and paper towels.

The Common Play areas: The outside children’s play area, garden games, tennis court, animals and many acres of Dorset countryside are  available for you to roam and play freely, in a socially distanced way and using the hand sanitiser provided. (If possible, please bring your own tennis rackets and balls – we do have some, but you will be responsible for wiping them down before/after use).

Fairy & Elf door hunt:
We have recently created a Fairy & Elf door hunt around our gardens for children to enjoy. There are 12 little doors to find and a map and clues to help you.

The Gypsy Caravan: If this may be of interest to you please contact us directly. Currently, it isn’t bookable via our website as due to Covid it can only be booked in conjunction with another cottage during these times.

Shopping: Our local farm shop, Steeptonbill, in Milton Abbas stocks a huge range of goods, from fruit and vegetables to meat, cheese, milk and confectionery.  Supermarkets also offer deliveries to Luccombe Farm. (Please give them the address/instructions found at the bottom of the Contact Us page.)

Walks: There is an abundance of local walks both on and off the farm. We have recently added more walks to our guest information folder. Additionally, there are numerous places where you can just sit in peace, watch and enjoy the wildlife including birds, butterflies and deer and soak up the quiet surroundings.

If one of your party develops symptoms while staying with us, Government advice is to get tested immediately and for the group to self isolate in situ. Should the test come back positive before the scheduled end of the stay then the group is required to immediately return to their primary residence(s) and continue to self isolate for the required time. Please let us know as our cleaning protocols are different in this scenario. The symptoms to look out for are a high temperature, a new, continuous cough, or a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste. Regardless of the test result, if you are too unwell to return home and decide to self isolate in your cottage beyond your scheduled stay, then you will be liable for all fees for all bookings affected by this self isolation.

Needless to say, if one of your party develops symptoms in the days prior to your scheduled stay with us, please follow Government guidance – self isolate, get tested, and do not travel.

Thank you for your help and understanding. We very much hope that all our guests will continue to have wonderful holidays with us, and can once again look forward to getting away from home, enjoying the fresh air and open spaces, and at long last having something fun to do with the children!

If you have any questions then please get in touch with us by phone or email.

With best wishes,

Murray, Amanda, Louisa, Bev and all of the Luccombe Farm Team
