Terms and Conditions for Luccombe Holidays

 
Granary : Sleeping 2. in a king size bed, with space for cot or Z bed. Ensuite facilities.
Old Sty : Sleeps 4. 1x double. 1 x twin, a very large shower, single storey. Suitable for the elderly.
Cakehouse : Sleeps 4. As above but with bath and fine views of the lake and valley.
The Stalls : Sleeps 4. 1 x king and 1x twin . Double storey. Interlinked to the Tackroom, if required.
The Tackroom : Sleeps 4. similar to Stalls. Downstairs soundproofed connecting door if required.
The Old Stables : Sleeps 5 in beds. (plus, two adult-sized bunks also available in the single room.)
One double, one twin & one single/tripple room. Always priced for 5 people. Please add £125 / bunk bed.
 
The Stalls, Tackroom and Stables are two storied, with two loos. Dishwashers throughout, except in Granary.
 
Our prices include VAT as well as the following :
>> Linen & towels ( NOT for beach use please). Beds with duvets are made up ready for you.
>> The first 70 units of electricity per week. (10 units/day) This covers the summer months. Autumn,
Winter and Spring guests must budget to pay a little extra based on their individual meter readings.
>> A starter pack of toiletries and some household cleaning materials and equipment are provided.
>> A welcome tray to help you unwind after your journey will be waiting for you in the unlocked cottages.
>> The use of the Games Room, Indoor Heated Pool, Sauna & Gym. (Young children must be supervised please.)
>> The right to roam responsibly over our farm, which covers about a square mile.
>> Free use of the tennis court. (£2.50 p/person ONLY if you wish to use our racquets and balls.)
>> Use of the BBQ down by the lower pond with cooking & eating equipment provided. (Your charcoal etc.)
 
Additional costs ( where applicable ):
>> -Extra friends staying for a night or two, by arrangement and the same applies for use of the leisure centre!
Z beds @ £80/week/child. A toddler squeezed in,@ £50/week. Deluxe air beds @ 125/week, space permitting.
Bunk beds (Stables only.) @ £ 125/week. (We provide linen and towels for all beds & bunks etc.)
The Gypsy Caravan (our mobile annexe), @ £125/person/week. Max 2. (£100/child/week max 3)
Extra linen & towels, ( should you require a midweek change) @ £10/set.

>> Cots and high chairs @ £ 5 each (Please bring babies own linen and bed clothes. )

>> Fully house trained pets @ £50 each. You must provide a basket/bed or appropriate blankets. Pets must never
be left alone in the cottages at any time, please. (The Stalls and Tackroom are kept PET FREE).

>> We make a small charge for use of washing machines/tumble drier on an honesty basis. Detergent is provided.

>> Clay pigeon Shooting, mountain bike hire & Fishing in our ponds, lake & river can be arranged through us.
 
Discounts :
>> Bookings of two or more weeks, less 5 %. Includes a change of linen and towels if required.

>> Return bookings, less 5% and in very Off Peak Periods up to a discretionary 10%.

>> Send a friend for a further 5% off your next visit. Many people are now doing this!
>> There may be other discounts from time to time, just ask, you never know.

 
Booking :
>> A non-refundable £100 deposit together with a signed booking form, in which you agree to abide by our terms
and conditions, secures your booking. We will send you a receipt, showing the final payment and date due. We
strongly urge you to consider cancellation insurance as a cancelled holiday can render you liable for the full cost.
Payment in full is normally 30 days before arrival and no receipt for your second payment is issued unless you
enclose an S.A.E. (This is just an attempt to save unnecessary paper work. So, a second receipt is in your
hands if you really do want one! )

 
Arrivals:
>> from 4pm. If you come earlier to beat the traffic, fine, but we may not be quite ready for you. So, in
that case, just pop into the games room (WC facilities in the adjoining Linen room), or explore the grounds.
Normally, your cottage will be unlocked, and ready for you to unwind with tea and biscuits, and a drink for the
younger ones from our welcome tray. Please read the safety brief, which should be available on the
table and then sign the acceptance form before we make contact with you to extract the cash deposit ( see
below,) in return for the leisure centre keys. Any further safety issues or questions you might have can be
discussed at this point. Poor you! But we promise to leave you alone after that!
 
Departures:
>> Around 10am with beds stripped, dishwashers empty and cottages vacuumed and clean.
 
>> Please try to leave the cottages as you find them and tell us about things that are broken.This does help us to keep the standards high for other guests. Each year we find that more and more people are NOT doing this. Very sadly, we are now forced to ask for a cash service charge of £50/cottage on arrival. This is refundable only in return for a CLEAN & TIDY cottage, together with all keys etc. Yes, there is a vacuum cleaner and ample cleaning equipment in each cottage! Gosh if we have not managed to put you off, then we very much look forward to meeting you!
